Metropolitan Municipality and Book Fair in the City That Reads and Teaches

The Kayseri Book Fair, a traditional event organized by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, will bring together millions of books and hundreds of authors with book lovers between April 17th and 26th.
The Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, which stands out with its investments in culture and art, is hosting the Kayseri Book Fair, considered one of Turkey's largest book organizations, for the 8th time. The fair, which will be held at the Kayseri World Trade Center Exhibition Area, will open its doors on April 17th and will be open to visitors until April 26th.

Organized under the leadership of Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, in cooperation with the Kayseri Governorship, Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Erciyes University, Kayseri University, Kayseri Provincial Directorate of National Education, and Sun Fair Organization, the fair continues its steady growth with an increasing number of visitors each year. Having hosted 582,000 visitors in its first year, the fair reached 672,000 in its second year and 798,000 in its third year. Having hosted 815,119 visitors in its fourth year and 935,638 in its fifth, the event achieved significant success with 1,039,093 visitors in its sixth year and 1,085,214 in its seventh.

This picture, which reveals Kayseri's intense interest in books, shows that the fair has become a strong brand not only locally but also nationally.

This year, the fair, dedicated to the memory of the late academician and author Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı, will feature hundreds of publishing houses and authors, as well as millions of books. The program, enriched with talks and autograph sessions, will bring together leading Turkish literary figures with their readers in Kayseri.

The Alo 153 Communication Center and the White Desk will also be present at the Book Fair.
